Bresh Merino is fun-loving, care-free, and charismatic sixteen year old who started working with disabled children when she was fourteen. Since then, she has completely immersed herself in helping others. Bresh spends time volunteering at a center that is focused on socializing children with needs. As well as working one-on-one, she spends a great deal of time organizing events for the center. Through her writing at Metiza, she is hoping to share her experiences and spread the word about the importance of helping others. Other than her volunteer passion, Bresh loves about everything else. Listening to music, hanging out with friends, binge eating ice cream and watching America’s Next Top Model is also on this list. But, she also spends a great deal of time writing – about almost everything. Along with stories, plays, and scripts, Bresh partakes in spoken word poetry and written poetry. Bresh has spent a majority of her life being involved in writing and hopes that she can continue to use it as a way to spread positive messages.
