Ilana Cohen is a junior at The Beacon School in New York City with a passion for politics and international affairs. She encourages youth engagement in local democracy as a member of the District 39 Participatory Budgeting District Committee and the founder of her district’s PB Youth Committee, as well as through her work as the Media and Electoral Outreach Coordinator of the Youth Progressive Policy Group. At school, Ilana is a leader of the Model UN and Model Congress clubs, the General Manager of the Project A.B.L.E. chapter, and the co-editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, “The Beacon Beat.”
