I’m about to enter my junior year of college and still can’t believe this journey is halfway through! Although the first two years were filled with fun and freedom, I still have two more to embrace and make my own.
I have a feeling this year is going to be monumental…I’m moving into my first apartment, taking part in professional opportunities, and am turning 21 in just a few months! There are several activities and moments I have yet to live in college, and I plan on knocking them all down before I graduate.
I’m here to share my junior year bucket list and encourage you to craft one up of your own. We’re all heading back to school soon, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make time for enjoying ourselves and our youth this year!
Spontaneous Road Trip
This activity may be a bit cliche, but it’s something I’ve honestly never done! Sure, I’ve taken day-trips up north; however, I plan on going bigger and taking across-state adventures with my friends!
This beautiful country has so much to see and offer, and I can’t think of a better time to explore it than now. The thought of dance parties to catchy playlists, endless snacks, and midnight wandering makes my eyes light up.
I want to look back at my time in college and think about all the once-in-a-lifetime memories I made! This year will be comprised of journeys, lots of photos, and spontaneity.
Go to a Concert
There’s something about going to a concert that is so liberating, whether due to the fact that I can dance around and sing as loud as I want or enjoy a night out with my gals.
I missed out on several of my favorite touring artists last year due to school and other priorities; however, I’ll be making sure I squeeze them into my schedule this time around. Nothing’s going to stop me from putting on a fun outfit, splashing on some lip gloss, and having the ultimate dance party!
Pull an All-Nighter…For Fun
If you’re in college, you know that desperate times call for desperate measures. There have been moments when I’ve been so consumed with work that I forget to check the clock for the time. Accidental all-nighters are never fun, and all you’re left with is the smell of coffee on your breath and bags under your eyes.
All-nighters don’t always have to be a drag, though! I plan on making time this year for around-the-clock binge and venting sessions with my friends. It’s okay to dedicate a weekend or two to being young and naive…within reason, of course!
Take a Class for the Heck of It
As a journalism major and fashion minor, I absolutely love what I study! After two years of my head in books about news and ethics, I’m still passionate about what I do. That doesn’t mean I don’t get curious about other fields of work, though.
I would love to learn about the ins-and-outs of event planning or the science behind skincare. That’s why I think it’s important to step outside of my comfort zone and take a class about something I’m simply interested in.
There’s so much to learn, and college is the perfect place to dive right in!
Take 1,000 Pictures
Life goes by in the blink of an eye, which is why I want to document all the little and big moments to come! Whether I’m snapping pics of my day-to-day looks or saving silly snapchats, my goal is to collect at least 1,000 pictures this school year.
I’ll cover my walls and photo albums with the memories that last a lifetime! So much can happen in just one year. Capturing moments here-and-there will be a special way for me to keep track of these times and reminisce about them in the years to come.
I’ll continue adding onto the bucket list as my junior year progresses. Let me know what you’re including on yours and how knocking down each item is going!
