Many of the most successful tech startups began as student dev projects and the Imagine Cup is on the lookout for that next big idea. The Imagine Cup is Microsoft’s premier international competition for young developers. Students around the world pool their passion, creativity, and technical innovation into these projects in hopes of taking home all the glory. Oh, and the $100,000 grand prize. Talk about jump starting your passion project to the next level.
Aside from getting that cash money, making connections and gaining access to resources are equally important for young startups. Student developers get exposure to both when competing. Here’s our fav tech girl, Sabrina of Nerdy & Quirky, to explain all the awesome benefits the Imagine Cup has to offer students.
The US Imagine Cup Finals, It’s Going Down!
The epic showdown for US students is April 19th-20th in downtown Seattle, WA. The final 12 teams will compete for the chance to move on to the international round, where only 6 will advance! If you’re in the Seattle area, here’s how you can attend in person.
Or you can watch all the magic virtually on April 27th. While not on the ground floor, the virtual event will be hosted by Sabrina and will feature insider tips, info and pitch training that the competitors themselves received.
Still working on your paradigm shifting software solution? Microsoft offers some really cool resources for students in between Imagine Cups as well.
