A personal favorite mind… is the collective mind behind Freakonomics. The book “Freakonomics” changed my life as a teen, and helped shape my decision to major in sociology. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it, it’s helped shape the way I look at the world, process information, and quite frankly is a helpful way to unlock tools to better process news, studies, etc. If you purchase it using this link, you’ll also be supporting Metiza.
At any rate, the Freakanomics podcast is a weekly podcast that dives in to really interesting subjects. Host Stephen J. Dubner has interesting conversations that explore the riddles of everyday life and odd wrinkles of human nature. He speaks with Nobel laureates, social scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Here’s a few episodes that have changed my life:
How to Get More Grit in Your Life (with Grit author Angela Duckworth, who is a personal hero of mine… which hint hint… may mean she’s featured soon)
Could Solving This One Problem Solve All the Others? (another Duckworth classic)
