Seattle Band SISTERS Video for ‘Buck’ Is Guaranteed To Make You Dance

Making new friends and exploring Capitol Hill in the best possible way.

This past Saturday, Volunteer Park Pride Festival was held in Seattle. I chose to attend for two reasons: to do my part as an ally and support the LGBTQ community, and to see the duo SISTERS. The story of Emily Westman and Andrew Vait forming the group is the epitome of kismet. After meeting in college, they both moved separately to Seattle only to find each other again and begin this musical journey. The video for the single “Buck”, off their debut album, Drink Champagne shows off the best parts of Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle.

After living on Capitol Hill for almost 6 years, I can say that this video is a great representation of the neighborhood and the people who live there. Westman and Vait approached strangers on the street and got them to dance, and if that’s not community, I don’t know what is.

If you like: St. Lucia, Electric Guest, or Saint Motel, then you’ll love SISTERS.
