After nearly a year of trying everything from supplements to face washes to pore-vaccums, I had given up on ever having clear skin. Then, I saw a Curology advertisement on my Instagram. After looking into the review I decided, as a last-ditch effort, to give it a shot. Man, am I glad I did.
What is Curology?
Curology is a personalized, subscription-based skincare system.
Each month you’re delivered a once-a-day cream specifically tailored to your needs. You can also add in their face wash and moisturizer as well or continue using your old stand-by.
With a combined 107 years of experience, Curology’s skincare team is top of the line and will work with you to find the best combination of ingredients for your skin type.
Unlike other store-bought products, Curology’s superbottles clearly state their minimal, yet effective, active ingredients. Beyond that, they also detail what each ingredient does.
They even suggest what sunscreens and cleansers to use as well as outline a skincare routine to follow.
How it Works
One of the best parts of Curology is how simple it is. The first step is taking a short assessment regarding your skin and snapping three pictures to send in.
Next, you will be assigned a personal provider and within the next few days prescribed your custom ‘superbottle.’ The first month of Curology is free, so if you don’t see results, you can simply terminate your subscription.
When you receive your superbottle, you’re instructed to apply it each night after your normal skincare routine. Simple as that.
If you begin seeing your results and want to continue your subscription, you simply pay $19.95 per month for your superbottle. If you want to add their cleanser and moisturizer as well the price increases to $59.90 for a 2-month set.
Beyond frustrated with the amount of facial cleansers stacked up in my bathroom, I decided to go with the cleanser, moisturizer, and superbottle package.
I sent in my photos and soon received my custom superbottle formula of 0.25% zinc pyrithione for fighting acne with antibacterial and antifungal effects, 1% clindamycin which acts as an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory, and 4% niacinamide which is a form of vitamin B2 that acts as an antioxidant reducing inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, and fine lines.
Within two weeks I saw results. They weren’t insane but slow, steady, and reliable. Enough for me to graduate from a trial package to full subscription.
Three months later and I have the best skin of my life. Not even Proactiv worked like Curology does. It saves me money, time, and has given me a massive confidence boost I lost during my skin-struggles.
I also love that I can change my formula at any time if my skin changes due to climate fluctuations or lifestyle modifications.
Anytime I’m given the chance I sing the praises of all Curology has done for me. If you’re struggling with skin-issues give the free month a go and watch your skin transform and regain your confidence.
