Whether your too busy, aren’t one who is “up to date” on all the latest fashion/beauty trends, or simply don’t wish to put in the effort it takes to getting it this guide is for you.
Getting the “look” shouldn’t be challenging, and having style shouldn’t either. So I’ve compiled a list of ways to get that effortless beauty look, in half as much time. Take it from one who practices it daily.
Let’s get started.
When it comes to makeup, I never spend much time on it. I go for the “natural, yet presentable look” that emphasizes my natural beauty. My go to is this:
- Neutrogena skin clearing liquid and powder concealer (due to my extremely sensitive and acne prone skin.)
- Mascara (I use Neutrogena’s healthy lengths)
- Brow Shaping (Sometimes)
- If I’m feeling sassy gloss (I will always have chapstick on me)
And presto, my look is complete. This look itself literally takes me ten minutes, if that.
And hey, if you do want to spruce it up a bit, add the cat eye. Good luck, I still can’t master this one. Something simpler could be some nude shadow that compliments your eye color.
I love classic effortless beauty. That’s beauty to me, when it seems like you didn’t try -Hailey Baldwin-Bieber
When it comes to fashion, I always try to find how to combine clothes in a way that makes it look fashionable (like I actually tried), while requiring extremely low amounts of effort in doing so.
Here are a few ideas for styling.
- Stylish off the shoulder long sleeve shirt
- Cozy but cute sweaters (easy, but fashionable)
- An over-sized sweater/shirt
- And, if you’re feeling bold for the day, accessorize!
Accessories will always add a little spice to whatever outfit you might throw together. So, if you feel up to it add some! Side note, any top you choose can be paired with leggings or skinny jeans. The color you choose is ultimately up to you.
Another effortless way of styling that I will suggest is, layering.
- Throw together a few different shirts, pair it with a sweater to top it off
- Find a basic tee, add a jacket (leather, jean, faux fur)
- Or, throw on a regular shirt and add a cardigan to give it a bit more oomph.
Layering is endless! Not only will it keep you warm, it will also bring a unique “look” that only takes a couple minutes to create. To make it all complete, match it with some cute boots, flats, or sneaks! Voila, the beauty star has arrived! Who said styling had to be hard?
If you’re like me, the effort that is put in for your hair is slim to none. Here are some really quick and easy ways to “style” your hair in an effortless, yet beautiful way.
Top Knot– Although the girl in this video only does the half up top knot the same rules apply. This is a really simple, yet elegant look that is fairly easy to do, and can go with any outfit you put together.
Fishtail Braid– This one has recently become a favorite of mine. It’s so easy to do! With this braid, you can change it up and style it however you wish. In pigtails, a ponytail, whatever you’re feeling for the day.
French Twist Pony– This ponytail looks like an updo, one that many would think you spent hours doing. When let’s be honest, you didn’t.
Headband Updo– The one I am referring to is the last one she does, but all of these ideas work as well.
Beach Waves– Sea salt spray has more recently been proven to give that beachy wave one may desires without the hassle of curling. If you don’t have it already, you can either buy it pre-made, or DIY your own.
If you’re wanting to get that classic wave without sea salt, spritz your hair with some water and scrunch. Mousse, or a diffuser helps too.
If all else fails, leave it natural. Top it off with a hat, or a cute accessory to pull it all together. Then stand back in awe because your look is complete!
Allow yourself to try an array of different things, see what you like, then use it. Every day is different, and what you’re doing for the day isn’t always going to be the same. So throw some things together based upon that and roll with it.
Whatever your style is, whatever effortless look you choose; it will always be a well suited match for you. Embrace your inner “lazy girl,” and don’t let it keep you from feeling like the beauty-queen that you truly are.
