Passion Preview: A Project of People’s Passions

For anyone who knows me, I am really passionate about dance. The art form is my great escape from reality and every time dance practice ends, I always feel better about myself. Dance does not feel work at all so it is no surprise to anyone that I spend many hours at my college’s dance studio either choreographing or dancing. I did not know dance was my calling until I started taking dance classes and performing at my college’s dance shows and at other events on campus. Even though I took dance classes on hip-hop and Zumba in middle and high school, I did not start to take it seriously until college. Everyone has their own passion and for me, it happens to be dance.

One day when I was exploring around Instagram while laying in bed I came across a page called Passion Preview. Curious to see what it is about, I scrolled through its page and read the first post of the page. Basically, Passion Preview is a digital passion project created by Fletcher Rowe.

The story behind the project is when Rowe realized is one of his favorite things is listening to people speak about what they truly enjoy doing, which is their passion of course. He loves that people’s passions are what keep them going in their lives. Thus, Passion Preview was created to bring together a community of people who can showcase their passion and connect with others who share similar passions.

What I love about Passion Preview is that everyone shares about what they are passionate about.

It was interesting to see each post on Instagram about someone’s passion. Whether it is about cooking, playing a favorite sport, or reading for example, I can tell they are really passionate about what they do. Since I love to talk about dance to anyone and wanted to showcase my passion for it to more people, I decided to fill out the survey up on Passion Preview’s website, which the link for it was up on the Instagram bio.

Passion Preview’s website has all the profiles of people’s passions from different sections, ranging from business to philanthropy and education. A few weeks later after filling out the survey, my profile on my passion for dance was up on their website and social media pages.

Proud to see that my story of passion of dance has been posted, I eagerly shared it on Instagram story and encouraged everyone to follow Passion Preview on social media and check out their website. Not only this digital project has allow people to showcase their passions, but it also showcases their stories on how and why they are passionate about what they do.

For me, dance is a perfect getaway for me from everything which is why I am passionate about it a lot. Like I said before, even though I took classes, I did not take it seriously until college. Now I love every minute that I dance, especially when I do it on stage in front of hundreds of people.

For everyone to see people’s passions and their stories on them warms my heart.

Many people will see other people’s passions and find common interest between them. I firmly believe that this project would grow as Passion Preview has gained a number of social media followers over the past few months. Passion Preview has brought many people together and encourages a community of passions.

You know you are passionate about something if you do it a lot and love to talk about it anyone. These aspects has brought positive vibes to the Passion Preview community as a whole.

To me, Passion Preview is what unites everyone from different backgrounds to create something beautiful, which in this case is a community of passions. Now I love when people talk about their passion because that is what makes them happy. I hope most people love when other people talk about their passion as well.

If you are passionate about something, then you can take and submit a survey about it at www.passionpreview.com. Be sure to check out their website and follow Passion Preview @passionpreview on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for more content on people’s passions and what else they will be doing in the future.

To quote famous American actress, comedian, and writer Wanda Skyes, “If you feel like there’s something out there that you’re supposed to be doing, if you have a passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it.” Enjoy the things you do in your life and let your passion shine!
