Fashion at the 90th Annual Oscars ended the 2018 award season with a bang. The red carpet was a runway for entertainment’s greatest stars to show off custom and couture ensembles.
Actors of all genres and ages were dressed to the nines. They modeled striking looks made by the hands of some of fashion’s most prized designers, including Christian Dior and Givenchy.
Emily Blunt strut the carpet in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown composed of mint lace and embroidered flowers. Her dress included several of this spring’s hottest trends, from polka dots to sheer fabric.
Her blonde hair was pulled back in a bun, making way for her dangling crystal earrings from Chopard.
Nicole Kidman was a princess in her royal blue Armani Prive dress with a sweetheart neckline and bold oversized bow. Her strappy black Christian Louboutin heels peeked from the elegant slit in her gown.
Kidman’s diamond bracelet and chandelier earrings were from Harry Winston. Her straight hair was parted down the middle and tucked behind her ears.
Zendaya was a site to see in her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. The brown flowing dress had an off-the-shoulder neckline, cinched waist, and long train.
Her hair was slicked into a top knot bun, ensuring all eyes were on her glowing makeup and Bulgari jewels.
Margot Robbie attended the ceremony in a white Chanel Haute Couture gown with dazzling, draping straps. Her accessories were minimal but chic and included a clear, hard plastic Chanel clutch, which added a modern touch to the look, according to People Magazine.
Her blonde bob sat above her collarbone with gentle waves reminiscent of the 1920s.
Jennifer Garner walked the carpet in a deep-toned purple gown by Atelier Versace with an asymmetrical neckline and draping train.
“Between the bright hue, sweeping cape and sexy silhouette, there was no missing her entrance,” People Magazine says.
Her voluminous hair was curled and placed over her left shoulder. She accessorized with jewelry from Piaget.
The one and only Meryl Streep was a vision of her own in a red Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. The V neck dress was cinched the top of her waistline with a thin belt of the matching color.
She simply adorned her ensemble with Stuart Weitzman shoes, Fred Leighton jewelry, and a cream Christian Louboutin clutch.
This year’s award season was full of unforgettable looks and must-see moments of activism and unity that leave many wondering what will be in store for 2019.
