Seattle Artist Falon Sierra Tells A Story With New Track “Sprained Ankles”

Falon Sierra releases honest track about the many worlds of a toxic relationship.

I may have moved back to Los Angeles, but Seattle will always be a part of who I am. The six years I spent exploring the vast music scene allowed me to see many unknown, but brilliant artists. Twenty-something alternative R&B artist Falon Sierra is one of them. Her music video for “Sprained Ankles” is here, and I am so into it. (Really anything involving pools or oceans, I’m game).

I first heard her music on the Seattle radio station, KEXP. (Best station on the West Coast!). The song was “Feel It” – a track showcasing her powerful voice. I think I tried to Shazaam it on my phone and the app didn’t know the song. I was confused – Shazaam knows all, right? Not when it’s a young, burgeoning artist.

It turned out Falon Sierra was one of the contestants competing in Sound Off!, Seattle’s 21 and under Battle of the Bands, and I decided I had to go. Thanks to Metiza and the ability to obtain a press pass, I was able to catch her set! Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. She won 2nd place and the opportunity to play Northwest Folklife, a Seattle music and arts festival – an awesome opportunity for up and coming artists.

Since I’m not in Seattle, I unfortunately won’t be able to catch her shows any time soon, but if “Sprained Ankles” is any indication of what’s to come, I have no doubt she will continue to gain a devoted fan base and start touring soon! We’re rooting for you, girl!

If you’re in Seattle, you DO NOT want to miss her first headlining show on October 27th at LoveCityLove!
