3 Quick Mason Jar Salads with All Your Healthy Food Groups

As anyone who uses Pinterest knows, mason jars are trendy AF right now. But there’s a reason why – they can be very handy when you’re on the go. We’re a big fan of mason jar smoothies and oatmeal, so it’s no wonder we’re hopping on the mason jar salads train. Here are three quick and healthy salad recipes that fit all your food groups in a jar. Lunchtime made easy and delicious is now a jar away!

Mason Jar Salads

Chicken Raspberry Avocado Salad

Ingredients
½ cup Butternut Squash
Chicken
1 Avocado
½ cup Raspberries
A few handfuls of lettuce
1 Tbls honey
½ tsp curry powder
½ Tbs coconut oil

Directions
1.     Heat coconut oil on a small skillet over medium high heat.
2.     Add butternut squash and sauté. Add curry powder and honey and cook until soft.
3.     Grill or bake chicken to your preference and cut into strips.
4.     In a large jar, add butternut squash, next grilled chicken strips, then avocado, and raspberries.
5.     Finally, top the jar off with lettuce until it’s full! Keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and pour into bowl to enjoy!

Feta Chicken Pear Salad

Ingredients
Craisins
Chopped Pecans
Feta Cheese
Diced Pear
Grilled Chicken
A few handfuls of lettuce

Directions
1.     In a large jar, layer ingredients beginning with the craisins and ending with the lettuce.
2.     Keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and pour into bowl to enjoy!

Caprese Tomato Basil Balsamic Salad

Ingredients
Balsamic Vinaigrette
Olives
Mozzerella cheese balls
Chopped tomato
Basil leaves, chopped
Grilled Chicken
Spinach

Directions
1.     In a large jar, layer ingredients beginning with the dressing and ending with the spinach.
2.     Keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and pour into bowl to enjoy!
